Greensboro First United Methodist Church is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Finances. The Administrative Assistant for Finances will work with the clergy and staff to fulfill the mission of Greensboro First UMC through managing all matters related to finances and contributions. The work schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The candidate must have organizational and communication skills, knowledge in payroll and finances, Excel and QuickBooks proficiency, and excellent customer service abilities. Greensboro FUMC desires the applicant to be a team player who serves as a Christian example to those in our community and our church family.
The key responsibilities include:
Assisting the Finance Chair with preparation of the church's annual operating budget.
Financial fund accounting using church's electronic accounting software.
Managing individual pledges and contributions using church's contribution software.
Processing accounts payable.
Financial accounting for Greensboro FUMC Preschool using QuickBooks.
The Administrative Assistant for Finances is under the supervision of the Administrative Executive Assistant. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
