Make a joyful noise!
Psalm 100:1-2 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” We at Greensboro First United Methodist Church are a singing congregation. This Psalm text is clear that praising God is not an option. It’s our duty. We have many exciting opportunities for you to participate!
Children’s Music: Children participate in singing, playing bells, and learning to read music during our F.I.S.H. program from September through May. The children participate in several services throughout the year, singing and ringing their praises. We welcome ALL children!
Chancel Choir: The Chancel Choir is an amazing group of 40 singers who meet each Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 PM at the South Campus Choir Room. Our repertoire includes every style of music. We present a Christmas Cantata at South Campus and an Easter Cantata at both the North Campus and South Campus. We have many empty chairs and would LOVE to fill them with singers who have a passion for praising God in song!
Bell Choir: Our Bell Choir meets Wednesday’s from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Bell Room at South Campus. We are blessed with a 5 octave set of Mallmark Handbells. WE NEED NEW MEMBERS! Since some music reading is required for the success of the Bell Choir, we request an interview when you join our group.
Praise Team: The Praise Team is a group of talented singers and instrumentalists who wish to praise God as an energetic Team. We meet Sunday afternoons from 1:30-2:30 PM in the Choir Room. We will be praising God with the Congregation once a month while we are in our formative stage. We welcome members AND non-members!

Our Dynamic Music Team includes: Mark and Dawn Ruppelt, Ministers of Music; Lindsay Lipscomb and Kim McClain, pianists, and Dawn Ruppelt, organist.
